Congratulations seniors! I hope you had a restful and refreshing summer. This year I teach 8th grade science and the Living Environment Regents and 7th grade PBL. It's an exciting year for me. 8th graders the science summer packet is due 9/19/18. please be certain to have it completed on time. Here is a link to the electronic version. Marking period one has ended. 7th grade- There will be a 7th grade project on plate tectonics for the students to do over the Christmas break. 8th grade- Students will use the Christmas break to prepare for socratic seminar on cloning extinct animals. Regents students will have a practice regents to do over the break. Please enjoy your holidays!

Parents and students, We have completed our first round of socratic seminar. The classes did well discussing GMOs and designer babies. The deadline for summer packet is October 16th. No summer work will be collected after that. The write up for socratic seminar is due now and we are up to hw#7. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Engrade is up and current.

The school year has commenced! Engrade is up and running. Students are in the process of registering their accounts. Parents may make their own account with their own passwords and follow the student progress. Ask your child for the access code. This week we studied observations and inferences. We practiced the procedures and rules of the classroom.The summer project has been collected and grading will begin. Next week we will practice using smart response. We will take the genetics pre test and there will be a quiz on observations and inferences.
